Well, it's the year's birthday, 1 January 2010, so a party atmosphere. Midday, the very time one is not supposed to photograph, but an old view I reject (out of court!) for all kinds of reasons. So is this shot about rules too? Yes, I guess it is. The first rule of life: be yourself and have fun, and do so whatever happens. It's not irresponsible, it's not silly. If you want to strike a pose against a tennis court practice wall in the freezing snow and for no particular reason at all, well... you can. Of course they know I've got a camera and that I'd have to take this picture. It would have been more bad-mannered not to. So in a manner of speaking who is catching who in the act? Them or me?
