BLACK AND WHITE
Cley beach, high in shingle and piled up Norfolk sky. It is the most atmospheric of beaches, a long slab of cold North Sea that dominates the view, and would dominate the land too if it had its own way. The two figures in the distance were collecting shells and stones. Mostly they held hands, at other times briefly parting as they beachcombed for unexpected treasures.
